Are you looking for a place to grow and connect? There is a seat waiting for you in one of our small groups!  We are always looking for new small group leaders.  If you would like to start a new small group or join an existing group, please contact Jeremy Gross at 727-785-7487.

UMC WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY

Leader: Bishop Ken Carter

Join Bishop Carter each Wednesday (September 9th through November 25th). You'll hear from biblical scholars, share your prayer requests and learn with fellow Methodists from across the Conference.  We will build in time for intercessory prayer within your small groups during the study. We will celebrate a litany of remembrance for those who have died of COVID-19 and acts of racism on the Wednesday (October 28) before All Saints' Day and we conclude our twelve weeks with a Love Feast (November 25).

Day, Time & Location of Group: We meet every Wednesday 6:00 p.m. on FL UMC FACEBOOK.  If you have questions, contact Shannon Redden or Alex Shanks.

BIBLE BUDDIES

Leader: Lynn Stevens

Deepen your knowledge, understanding, and application of the Bible in this verse-by-verse Bible study. Share your insights on various books of the Bible with meaningful discussions about how to apply the Word of God to your everyday life. This semester, we are studying the Book of Luke.

Day, Time & Location of Group: This group meets every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at the church outside on the Basketball Court.  Bring your own chair.

WIRED TO THE WORD

Leader: Kathryn Emby

Wired to the Word is a group who seeks to learn and grow in our faith through studying the Bible, other books, and video studies with Biblical teachers.  We are a mixed group of all ages of adults.  We have members who have the "gift" of teaching and we are blessed by the use of their gift.

Day, Time & Location of Group: This group meets Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. on ZOOM.  Please email for the link to join.

BIBLE DISCUSSION GROUP

Leader: Mark Deen

This group goes through a variety of book and DVD studies and enjoy insightful and biblical discussion.  This semester we are studying Colossians by Loui Giglio.  What we think about Jesus matters. Our perception of Him shapes us—what we say, how we treat others, even what we think. If we paint Jesus as any less than who He is as supreme over all creation and savior of the world, not only does our theology slip, but the working out of our faith also suffers.  This study and resources can be found of RightNow Media.

Day, Time & Location of Group: This group meets every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in Choir Room.

REVELATION: A PROMISED BLESSING

Contact: Jerry Riggin

This study of Revelation is an expository (verse by verse) teaching of this book. We will begin with chapter 1 and go chapter-by-chapter and verse-by-verse through the entire book of Revelation. I will teach the scripture, the story, the prophesy, the history and all significant viewpoints of the many controversial passages in Revelation. We will have a time of worship and prayer to prepare our hearts, then we will dig deep into the Word and end with Q&A.  Video recordings will be available for those that are interested but cannot attend.

Day, Time & Location of Group: This study meets on Thursday nights from 7:30-8:45 p.m. (time of worship at 7:15 p.m.) on ZOOM.  Please email for the link to join.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY GROUPS

L.I.F.T. (Ladies In Fellowship Together)

Leader: Andrea Ceely

In LIFT (Ladies in Fellowship Together), our mission is to go forth, gather, encourage, develop and grow all mothers and caregivers to realize their potential as women, mothers and leaders in the name of Jesus Christ.  “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” We meet together to decompress, recharge, and develop meaningful friendships in the midst of mothering. Our meetings include brunch, speakers, crafts, and lots of conversation. It’s a time to connect with moms in the same season, as well as mentor moms who have traveled this road ahead of us. While moms are connecting with other moms, the little ones enjoy fun activities and snacks in the nursery.

Day, Time & Location of Group: This group meets the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays beginning in November from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (with few exceptions) at the church in room A202-203.

THURSDAY MORNING WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY

Leader: Karen Martin

This semester, we are studying Jeremiah: Daring to Hope in an Unstable World by Melissa Spoelstra.  Jeremiah offers women hope for living in an uncertain world by learning to navigate the challenges and circumstances of their lives. This six-week study examines God’s words of instruction to His wayward people through the prophet Jeremiah, and provides women six guidelines for intentional living to overcome fear, worry, and doubt as they surrender their will to God’s and put their hope in Him alone. The cost of the workbook is $15.00. If you would like to join the study or have questions or nursery needs, contact Karen. Come join us for great study and fellowship.

Day, Time & Location of Group: Throughout the week we offer grade and gender specific small groups. These groups offer your student a chance to take the next step and dive deeper into their faith alongside other students. Groups meet anywhere from Chick-fil-A to Chipotle, to the youth room.
